Raw Kale Chips!

So I have been holding out on this recipe… but not on purpose.  I misplaced the recipe for over a week now and just found it!  YAY!  If you’ve never had kale chips before you are missing out.  They taste amazing!  It’s a healthy potato chip (;

Spicy Cheeze Kale Chips

Serves 4

1 to 1 1/2 bunches of kale (any variety); washed, de-ribbed, and torn into bite sized pieces

2 Tbsp. nutritional yeast

1/2 tsp. pink Himalayan sea salt

1/2 tsp. ground garlic

1/2 tsp. chipotle seasoning

1/4 tsp. paprika

3 Tbsp. cold-pressed hemp oil

2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar

Directions:

In a small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except for the kale.  Mix well.

Tear the kale into a large mixing bowl and pour in the dressing.  Mash all together well using your hands (massage roughly!).  Lay the dressed kale pieces on dehydrator trays and dehydrate from 3-6+ hours depending on the size piece.

If you don’t have a dehydrator, don’t worry.  You can also bake these chips in the oven (but they won’t be raw).  Preheat your oven to 350 and layer the torn kale on baking sheets.  Bake for 7 to 9 minutes, carefully keeping your eye on them!

      So glad you have a recipe now! I’m going to experiment with other leafy greens like Swiss chard, mustard greens, and collards next… wish me luck! <3
